Enjoy an exhibit of dozens of 19th century quilts and coverlets at the Warwick Historical Society's "Red, White and Green" antique quilt and coverlet show, artfully displayed in the Old School Baptist Meeting House, High and Main Streets in the Village of Warwick on Fri. and Sat., Nov. 26 and 27 from 12 to 4 p.m., and Sun., Dec. 5 from 12 to 3 p.m.
These one-of-a-kind handmade pieces of American art are draped from the balcony and across the pews of the historic building, a stunning exhibit featuring intricate craftsmanship and gorgeous colors and patterns. The exhibit was curated and pieces thoughtfully chosen from the private Waddell collection and DeMarino collection, and also includes pieces from the Warwick Historical Society's selection of antique textiles.
Volunteers from the Warwick Historical Society will be on hand to provide a narrative of the exhibit and landmark building. Photographs are permitted, and a program that tells details of the quilts will be available. A suggested donation of $5 per person is appreciated to support the mission of the WHS, preserving, sharing and celebrating the history of the Town of Warwick for 115 years.
